Lee generally does the planning for these Days but will ask our opinion on the choices she makes -isn't that nice of her? :) She made a list (using Laurie Carlson's Classical Kids for reference) of what we were going to eat for the day.
- Cinnamon Raisin Rolls (just what it sounds like!)
- Bean Salad with Crustulum (french bread with fresh garlic rubbed on it and oil)
- Olive Rolls and Spinach Triangles
For clothes she used Patterns for Theatrical Costumes by Katherine Strand Holkeboer for ideas. Fox is wearing a tunic and Lee is wearing chiton. Fox's is made from a spare bit of blue fabric that we have had for quite a while. Lee's is her sheet from her bed :)
Here is what they are supposed to be resembling:
Right now they are making bean mosaics using our, ahem, collection of dried beans and old jar lids. I will try to post more photos later but the batteries died in my camera after I took the one of them lounging/eating.
OH, and I received Greek N Stuff's Hey Andrew! Teach Me Some Greek today in the mail (for review from the TOS Crew- you'll have to wait for the actual review in April!) and so we will start on that today. Fox said: "What a great day to get that in the mail!"
More later!
What incredibly creative kids you have!! I too got my Greek N Stuff in the mail and was so excited! My kids are calling it Mom's Curriculum! ; ) Little do they know, they are going to be in on it too!!; )
