The first photo is of a dry leaf, obviously. But this leaf is losing it's uh, skin! The veins however are staying intact quite nicely. Lee has found two very nice leaves that are almost completely bare yet they are not brittle, instead are flexible. It is almost as if they are not even real. They are really neat.
Okay, I love my camera! I had to figure out the settings to get it to be better quality. Of course I will admit, I am not a semi-quasi-even-remotely advanced amateur photographer. But the settings, once figured out, help my photos look very nice. When I had made mention that this camera did not have as good looking picture, I think it was because the pictures I was taking when I first got it were with the wrong settings and it was somewhat dark in the room.
Lee and I walked around a few blocks from our house taking photos. She used my old camera (carting extra batteries just in case). It was a really nice time. The wind was a bit chilly but it was still nice.
The picture to the left is from my garden. Those are radish sprigs :) There is also mint growing (chocolate, lemon and peppermint, I believe). Right now I can see some of the peppermint and lemon.
The next photo below is of our apple tree. We have 2, I think. Not sure how the apples are though. We haven't been brave enough to try them ... yet. This year I am determined to try at least one. If they are good then I will make sure I use them for something. We really like dried apples and applesauce. Or I could do my best at apple butter.
I wonder if you can tell what the next picture is of?? We were messing around and taking a picture of each other taking a picture of each other. She made sure her face was covered, I think. My new camera doesn't have a view finder, but the old one does and really, to see what you are capturing, you need to look through that to see.
I am having a bit of trouble trying to figure out how to place these photos on the page in a way that doesn't break up the paragraphs so much but I am not really having much success. This post may be edited quite a few times! I didn't want to make a post for each picture.
The next picture is purslane in my backyard. I discovered this last summer and dear hubby was treating it like a weed. I had come across a discussion about purslane on The Journey forum when my mom discovered it in her yard. I didn't see flowers or buds on it last summer but it definitely has some this spring. They are beautiful little flowers. I also have a weed growing that looks a lot like the purslane so I hope this isn't the weed.
So, that is my new camera. Here is Lee's post...using the old camera.
Great pics...
ReplyDeleteAgain, I may be able to help.
I believe in the formatting or editing of the post in layout mode, there is a feature that gives you the 'new editor' for posts. It's the same as the one you'd use for the pages, I believe. That new one has a pop up by the picture that will allow you to put it in the left or right and have text around it.
If you don't figure it out, let me know better what steps you see when you upload a pic to help you better.
