Notebooking Pages

So we’ve never really done notebooking but think it sounds like a really great idea. We’ve dabbled here and there. I know there are a lot of premade pages out there for various subjects and books. How about The Story Book of Science by Jean Henri Fabre? I can’t find any!

Searching for, first premade pages for the book and then when not finding any, a how-to make your own notebook pages, I came across Jimmie’s Squidoo Lens on different notebooking pages. Wow and more wow. And this link takes you to all the results for notebooking on Squidoo. Jimmie’s a gem!

Anyway, I still didn’t find specific notebooking for the book I wanted so I tried to make my own. Here’s the front cover (because I want a ‘book’ of the particular pages for each subject/book we are covering):

And here’s a quite plain page but I like it. There is an illustration that is found in the book. The idea of this page is that my ds can either draw the ants that are below the space or he can draw something else that he wants from our reading. Or he could even write about something but he most likely will draw (as if writing requires work and drawing does not!)

I also did make some pages with copy work on them. Here is one:

And this is my favorite page so far (can you tell I’m not very far into the book??):

I’m making it in Power Point and then saving as a PDF. I’ll share with anyone that is interested when I am done Smile

  1. Fantastic. I can tell you are having a good time making the pages - they look great and are inviting to use. Good work!
