What We've Accomplished Today...01/04/2011

I wonder if I should put down what accomplish for my school here as well... well, maybe not...
We got another late start today because I had to register for my Spanish class at the local community college as well as pay for it and buy the books. While I was doing that they were allowed to go to the library. They got done there a bit after I got home so I worked on some of my emails and internet 'stuff', then started on my schoolwork until they got home.

Today both have gotten their Bible reading (Lee- Mark 13; Fox- Luke 5) and verses (Lee- Deut. 6:4-7; Fox-Psalms 32:1-5), Science (Christian Kids' Explore Physics- beginning of Lesson 7), and Latin (worksheet 2 of Lesson 10).They also both wanted to use the elliptical machine today as well, so I let them :) Both did it for 10 minutes each. I think next time they want to go for longer time. Lee says she wants to work up to a distance of 1 mile. Fox just wants to push himself, I think, to the point that he might fall off the machine!

Fox has also completed Ten Marks (100 problems!), chose his research paper topic (George Lucas), Writing (Lesson 6, worksheets 3 & 4- comparing and contrasting sentences), History/Geography (Story of the World, the rest of chapter ?? about Ethiopia remaining independent and free- year 1896), and some free reading.

Lee has finished Grammar (Jensen's- Lesson 1) and decided on her research paper topic (Snowshoe cats- and why they are her favorite). She also completed History/Geography (pages 210-217 and section/settings review in World Studies), Logic (The Fallacy Detective- Lesson 28- just read it today), some free reading, and In Freedom's Cause for history supplement (to page 22).

Still to go: Lee needs to complete Life of Fred Beginning Algebra with me, practice 30 minutes on her trumpet, and art. She wants to work on the cats she draws with her art program on the computer (using her tablet) but I want to use Line Upon Line! She may have to 'suffer' with both ;) Fox still needs to finish his LoF PreAlgebra 2 with Economics with me, practice 30 minutes on the guitar and art. We all have Church History (St. Jerome) to cover as well. And that will do it!

Not too bad for a Tuesday :) Lol, I almost put "Monday"

  1. We are still not back in school mode- I have a daughter getting married in a few days, so I don't think it will happen until after that. I am sooo looking forward to getting back to our "normal" rountine! Thanks for sharing your day- hopefully, it will inspire me when we get back to it to see what others are doing.
