Intentional

Adjective: Done on purpose; deliberate.

Synonyms: deliberate - willful - purposeful – intended

Here it is almost August and I’ve found my word for the ‘year’. Perhaps that should be for the school year.

Angie of Petra School gave me this word. She might not have known it before reading this –because I’m sure she reads my blog! {LOL} She mentioned it in passing pertaining to when they start their school day. It’s stuck with me since then. It got me to thinking about my intentions and how ‘intentional’ am I really.

We started school July 9th, 2012, but this is our second week off already since then. And next week will be no school either. I don’t think one week of school, three weeks off will be a good schedule for the year. We’d never get anything done!

But it’s not just about the schooling. It’s about all that I do. There are things I like to do that just suck my time and resources but result in very little. I would say they at least give me satisfaction at the time but not too terribly much. I just do them to fill my day. The thing is, I’ve got plenty to fill my day with without those! Plenty.

So here’s to being intentional. And I’m starting right away. First I’m being intentional with my blog posts –setting up my blogging schedule along with making sure I have quality content. That is a start.
