It's that time of year again. Exams.
Here's a good post on why we do exams from Brandy at Afterthoughts. I think I've linked to it before but it's well worth linking again.
I like exams. At first, though, it was a somewhat scary thing for me. When we started AO there weren't complete exams on the website. There were some questions and of course there are examples of questions from PNEU exams, but I still had to come up with a lot of the questions for our exams on my own. It was tricky because I'd been taught test-taking one way but wanted to offer a different way for my kids.
I did find past Y8 exam questions for when Lee was in Y8 that I had done on my blog, and while the questions weren't bad, some of them I've changed for Fox; some we weren't using the same book as now. Some questions are taken from AO's website so I'm not including those here. You can see those at AO's exam page. I'll post Y10 in the next post.
