A little poor planning on my part caused me to have less for the week than usual {or maybe it's from the other more expensive weeks...?}. Here's the week's groceries:
I'll be missing my cottage cheese ($2.29) this week, that's for sure. Also, no meat ($2.89) sandwiches. And since I didn't get the lunch-meat, I probably should have passed on the tomatoes ($1.89). Oh...well... The eggs went up $.10 this week ($1.39).
I know we really could have lived without that peanut butter ($1.89) but finally we found on that is 'generic' that actually tastes somewhat good. It does have high sugar, but it's made with palm oil and cane sugar rather than hydrogenated oil and corn syrup. It's a small thing but I'll take it.
Those crackers will last at least two weeks ($1.79). Also, the package of pepperoni ($1.99) will last three Fridays {for pizza}. I'm hoping the shredded cheese ($3.29) will also {I'm not so confident}.
I couldn't buy almonds ($4.29) either to make more almond milk. Instead I will be using some more coconut that I have and make light coconut milk.
I plan on making two loaves of bread ($1.69 at the store) and two batches of tortillas ($.99 at the store) for the family. We still have a package of hot dogs from last week in the freezer.
I'd share my week's menu but I have to redo it!
The total was $35.55
I'm linking up with Linda's Lunacy- Making a Home (it's been so long!)
Once a catch-all for our homeschool and everyday family life, now a spot for my meanderings about whatever comes to mind- and always books.
