HotPants: My Review

HotPants, you say? What are those, you say? Uh… well, I didn’t know when I signed up what they were. I’ve been trying to lose some inches lately (I’ve already lost 12 lbs since moving from WY to OH- perhaps it’s the change in altitude??) and so I decided to give HotPants a try.

The deal is they are a pair of shorts (not really ‘pants’) that you wear when you are active: walking, running, mowing, raking leaves, using the exercise machinery, etc. But not just that you can wear them when you are doing your normal every day stuff like walking up and down the stairs to get the laundry from the dryer, take the dirty laundry to the washer, and up the second flight of stairs to put the clean folded laundry away. See where I’m going with that? Whenever you are active, the pants are active also.

I almost forgot that I’d agreed to this review. The pants come from a company called Zaggora in the UK (neat…!) so it took longer than I’d expected to receive them {which means, I forgot they were coming lol}. Today they came and of course I was itching to try them on!

I ripped them out of the bag and was surprised. They look like part of a wetsuit! I’ve never touched one in real life let alone worn one but these are exactly what I would imagine a wetsuit to feel like Smile And I chose the large size since I was really not sure if they ran small or big- I’d rather have room than be squeezed into something. I wasn’t sure I was going to fit into these! But don’t worry- I did Smile

The idea is that you melt the fat with the nifty technology. They say you can lose two pant sizes in two weeks. Wouldn’t that be nice? You have to actually move around to activate the heat holding pants which makes you lose water weight but by the moving, you are exercising. The combination of water weight and actual fat loss is what makes you lose weight.

Well, when I put these on, almost immediately I felt warm. I had family visiting so I was all over the rooms in my house and before long I felt like my thighs were sweaty {gross, I know- sorry}. That never happens.

Anyway, I wore these while using my elliptical machine, while walking with the kids to the park, while doing dishes, and even slept in them {twice}. I was going to take the 2 week challenge to see if I could lose inches and the appearance of cellulite, but… I can’t handle the smell. I will continue to wear them when I go for walks and when I use the machine but not otherwise unless I can get rid of the smell. I smell a bit like a new tire when I wear them lol.

Okay, so after all of my long windedness, what do I think of them?
…interesting… The appearance of cellulite does indeed diminish if these are worn often {my skin feels softer and less ‘dimply’ lol} but I didn’t lose pounds {according to my scale}. I wasn’t able to measure when I first got them so I don’t know if I’ve lost inches or not.

You can purchase a pair of HotPants for £44.99, €51.26, or $71.86 USD. They come in sizes S, M, L, XL.

***Disclaimer: I received a pair of HotPants from Zaggora {in the UK!} through the Mommy Bloggers Club. Thank you Zaggora and Mommy Bloggers Club. No compensation was given- I was asked to give an honest review.
