What We Accomplished… Day #8 7/20/11

The week is officially more than half over That’s always good, right? Our second week of school has been going quite smoothly- which is great! I started this last night so actually, tomorrow is Friday!! Thank goodness!

Lee:
Bible: Reading (Numbers 16), verse (Romans 6:1-4, read, write, recite), Mere Christianity (pages 29-32)
Math: Khan Academy (adding/subtracting negative numbers [a difficult concept for both Lee and Fox it seems, but they are getting it]) (not entirely sure why she did that today; it was supposed to be Life of Fred…)
History/Geography: The Life of Christopher Columbus (narrated), Western Civilization (pages 290-291, ‘report’ on Black Death)
Language Arts: Jensen’s Grammar (Test 10), Roar on the Other Side (chapter 1- she insisted on doing this…even though it is not scheduled until next week [?]- she likes it that much)
Science: Biology (page 15, review)
Gov’t/Economics/Civics/Logic: Whatever Happened to Justice? (chapter 17)
Foreign Language: – Since we are house-sitting, I seem to have neglected to get the necessary books for this… tsk tsk, Mom…

Fox
Bible: Reading (Numbers 5), verse (Matthew 6:31-32), Saints & Heroes (pages 70-72)
Math: Life of Fred (chapter 12)
History/Geography: The Story of the World (chapter 26- oops I also forgot the map work…ooopsie)
Language Arts: The Age of Fable (The Laestrygonians, pages 280-281 [and a smidgen on the top of 282]), reading 30 minutes (Fifty Famous Stories Retold)
Science: The Story Book of Science (chapter 3, notebook)
Gov’t/Economics/Civics/Logic: uh, I forgot to bring the readings for Plutarch’s Lives for him… lol I’m batting a thousand, eh?
Foreign Language: See above.
Penmanship: Pictures in Cursive

Me… lol I don’t remember. I did get my Bible reading done and my SOAPs for Ministry of Motherhood. Unfortunately, I am not caught up with the book reading. Will work on that today. I will post todays work tomorrow morning probably.
