HSBA Swap- August/September Goodies

I feel so bad. I mean, I feel so blessed and good. But I feel so bad! I participated in the HSBA Swap for the second time and was paired with Michelle (she doesn't have a blog that I'm aware of). She sent me the best package EVER- bar none.
However, I am having the most difficult time EVER taking a photo! One camera (my newest and neatest) has been broken by a person that shall not be named (you know who you are....grrr). And my old reliable has never been reliable and I can't get it to cooperate now that I need it.

Here is a run down of the totally awesome package Michelle sent to me. And since I don't know if she has a blog that she can/will post my package to her, I'll tell you what I sent her :)

First, she knows I have two kids, so many of the things came in twos and gender appropriate. So thoughtful!
The most favored item she sent is a HUGE coffee mug. This thing is like one of the Campbell's Soup bowls (you know the kind?). I love it! I think it will double nicely as an ice cream bowl ;) To fill that cup she sent me some General Foods International Cappaccino packets (5 good sized ones that went super fast). She was so sweet and gifted me a Party Light candle in Lavender scent. This has been good in first the kids' bathroom (shared by the cat) and then Lee's room.

Next we have two pencil holders in a neoprene type material (wonderful!) in blue and purple. Two spiral notebooks, one in black, one in red. A 5 pack of Bic highlighters (came in handy for my review of The Write Foundation!), a pack of 30 pencil top erasers, index cards, a pack of red pens, a pack of blue pens, a pack of black pens (with a nifty release for when you are done writing), a pack of post-its, and a book a Taste of Chicken Soup for the Christian Woman's Soul.

All that is so wonderful. I absolutely love it all and now I will say what I sent to Michelle.

First I gifted Michelle a subscription to The Old Schoolhouse Magazine. My favorite magazine ever, I think :) Since I live in a small town it is difficult to find things that are awesome- so I did my best... I found two Teacher Resource wipe-off books (one that is the alphabet and one was uh, either phrases or numbers! can't recall now lol). I also sent a composition notebook. They come in handy for so many things. I found a cute little notepad that is contained in a slim metal case with a slim pen that holds it closed. I wanted to find a red or blue one, since that is Michelle's favorite color but I could only find a magenta color one. Oh my, there is more that I put in her package but I'm drawing a blank here.. Oh, how could I forget. She said she has recently began enjoying coffee and hazelnut was her favorite. I sent a bag of Folgers Gourmet Hazelnut Creme. I like the Folgers Gourmet myself and hope she enjoys it also.

I enjoyed participating this time but it seemed more difficult to find things :( I hope that my gifts were not a disappointment because I truly believe it is better to give than receive- I wanted to give so much more!
