Weekly Wrap-Up 08/06/10

This is my first Weekly Wrap-Up (hope I don't flub it up too bad!). It will be a quick one too.

Our week started with the last leg of our Oshkosh, WI, trip. On Monday morning we were leaving Murdo, South Dakota, on our way home. So we didn't have school on Monday :) Here's a picture of the kids at KidVenture, part of AirVenture.

Tuesday is a blur to me because we did grocery shopping. That takes 4 hours out of our day.We did school as well but I couldn't tell you what we did! Or anything else for that matter.

Wednesday we had to drive to Denver, CO, to take my father-in-law to the airport. That is a 6 hour trip, there and back. I had the kids take some school work with them. Life of Fred , Latin worksheets, a book from their reading list and one other subject of their choosing. Fox chose Complete Book of Marvels; he loves that book. Lee chose Beautiful Girlhood and Japanese for Beginners. The drive was uneventful but the kids and I had a Nerf gun war in the house when we got home. Fox got an NStrike (?) for his birthday and with his birthday money he has bought 2 small 'pistol' like Nerf guns and a Maverick (?). Lol, I don't know what they are called but it was fun! At first, because I'm the scaredy-cat mom that worries about things getting broke, I said no Nerf war in the house. But then I got one of those Nerf guns in my hand and it was just so much fun...We did more school stuff as well and actually got every thing done :) It was a pretty fun day!

Thursday was a quiet day: behaviors were good and school was done :) I think that we just hung out for the most part.

Friday, today, has been somewhat stressful for me because I have two papers due by Sunday. We did great with school for the kids though. Not a grumble! It's always so nice when it works out that way :) And the kids got the bathroom clean (their bathroom), that's always nice. I was working on finding maps I had printed out in June for school this year and wouldn't you know, I cannot find them anywhere so I had to track down the sites I found them from originally and reprint them! Was a couple hours out of my day. But it was interesting to me, I like looking at maps lol.

Tonight was movie night so we went to the Red Box and picked out Percy Jackson and the Olympians. I didn't get to watch it entirely but they seemed to enjoy it. Lee was picking out all the unbelievable parts while Fox was busy laughing at the silly parts :)
