A Month of Thanksgiving Day #1 & 2

Since I've not been very good at keeping up with my other 'series' posts, we'll see how this one goes. It's November and that means 'thankful posts' all around the blogging world. 


I'm going to do something a smidgen different. Last year, around the end of the year, I came across a pin or post of the "Thanksgiving Jar" {it may have another name}. The jar is empty to start with but as the year goes on, little slips of paper are put into it {as many as you want!} of what there is to be thankful for. I grabbed an old pickle jar and with permanent marker wrote James 1:17a on it: 

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above...

At New Year's Eve, the papers are supposed to be taken out and read; reminding of all the year's gifts and blessings. 

For my thanksgiving posts, I'm going to share some of those slips of paper. Since I didn't write all of them I will probably share the thankful party. I'll hopefully also have things to share on the day as well.

• 6/16/13: God's Word
• 6/9/13: Birds! Nature! Books! & Jeffery :)
• 11/2/13: Church family, s'mores, homemade chocolate cookies, coffee {can never be too thankful eh?}
