Must. Keep. Going… Day # 86-88

Well, hello there, Wednesday. You seem to have snuck up on me! Didn’t see you get around Monday and Tuesday. Wow, it’s so tough to keep going when we are so close to a long break. We’re just dragging. Our school portion of the day seems to go long into the afternoon.

Here are our Monday through Wednesday doings:

Monday we went Christmas shopping in the morning(which I’ve been informed just throws everything off…well!) and had a difficult time getting back into the school routine.

Tuesday, I was more firm (sometimes I can do that) and made the kids do school right after breakfast. I’m trying to work on habits {my own as well} with the kids. Making their beds, changing clothes {is it just my boy who could wear the same things for weeks if left to his own wants??}, washing their dishes after use, etc. With me it is mostly time management. I already get up at 6:30 Monday-Saturday {7:30 on Sundays- oh woe is me *wink* –I never get rest! haha!}, make my bed every day…and well that’s about all I’ve managed to make into habit. I am way too easily distracted.

Well, anyway, here is the school that’s been done:

12/5-7/11

Me: Finished my senior paper. Finally! I am now waiting for the ‘evaluation’. Unfortunately, it is missing some components that originally were to be included but as it turned out were not feasible to include. If I get a passing grade (even if it brings down my awesome GPA) I will be ecstatic. Now…just to get that last single class out of the way. But I have to wait until at least Spring to do that (and a few hundred more dollars to drop in my lap lol).

Both:
Art Study/Hymn:
The Wetterhorn by Bierstadt {we each drew it today after really taking it in- wow, kids have a much better memory than their ol’ ma!}; Christmas Carols (Monday- Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer; Tuesday- I Saw Three Ships {I’d never heard this song- I like it Smile}; Wednesday- You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch)- ‘video’ follows for I Saw Three Ships [there is only an image, not really a video, but it is at YouTube]
