In my life this week…
…absolutely nothing… really. I mean beside the usual every day –nothing much.
In our homeschool this week…
…we finished week 13. Friday was a very light day- so light it felt like we were slacking
Helpful homeschooling tips or advice to share…
…*cricket chirp*…sorry, I’ve got nothing.
I am inspired by…
…actually I feeling rather ‘un’inspired lately. Not that there is anything wrong there just is no passion about anything lately.
Places we’re going and people we’re seeing…
…this last week we did nothing and went no where (the library quickly on Friday is about it) but next week is going to be different! We are going to meet up with other homeschoolers to go bowling (the following week we are going to go on a nature hike). Can’t wait!
My favorite thing this week was…
…uh… getting more review items from TOS
What’s working/not working for us…
…math. Simply. Well, for Fox anyway. Nothing seems to click or stick. Not sure what to do about that yet.
Questions/thoughts I have…
…what should I use for Fox’s science next year?? I still have quite a while to think on it but it’s bothering me that I don’t know yet.
Things I’m working on…
…reviewing Heritage History Classical Curriculum and trying to manage my time (ongoing).
I’m reading…
…just the kids’ school books but soon will start on Sherman, part of The Generals series, and Wonderland Creek. Both are review books.
I’m cooking…
…tonight it will pizza- homemade with pepperoni (not homemade) and extra cheese (lol also not homemade). And olives (you get the idea). Yummm.
I’m grateful for…
…not enough lately. I seem to be focusing more on what is not right in my life rather than all my blessings. At this exact moment, I am grateful for having a loving husband.
I’m praying for…
…sigh, this goes along with the above. I seem to be in a rather selfish mood lately –not many prayers, forgetting what I have to be grateful for.
A photo, video, link, or quote to share…
Daffodils are my absolute favorite flower. Yellow daffodils.

Blossom, I have days/weeks that sound like yours this week. I try to soldier on. Sometimes I just need a spark of something different -- we all get the blahs (in my case, they're often accompanied by whininess -- it's especially attractive). I bet the bowling and time outside next week will do the trick. If not, try Tricia's chocolate pumpkin muffins over on Hodgepodge. Chocolate cures most things!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ellen! Oh, yes, chocolate can cure most of my 'ills' usually :) Thanks for the tip!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely hope that the bowling and hike turn out well and get us more involved with the outside world :)
We had kind of a blah week, too, that ended in a pile of snow. ;0)
ReplyDeleteIt'll get better, sometimes the getting there just takes some endurance.
Susan...shhhh, don't say that word! They have been saying it is coming- and I don't want it! LOL although, I think it'd be pretty :)
