What We Accomplished… Day #3 7/13/11

Up, up, up! We were all up at a decent time this morning. It used to be that we would set school to start by 9 am (ahem, not that it always started by then Winking smile ) but we’ve all discovered it is nicer to get it done and out of the way. Then we have all day to play! (Or work haha!)

Fox did great with his work today. I wish every day of school would be as good as today in that respect. He did it all with no complaints and was quick to start and paid attention.

Bible: Reading (Numbers 2), verse (Psalms 119:1, 2, read, recite). Read Saints & Heroes out loud (Gregory the Great, pages 66-68)
Math: Life of Fred PreAlgebra 2 (Chapter 9)
History/Geography: What Everyone Should Know About the 20th Century (pages 72-73, written narration), Story of the World (Chapter 23)
Science: The Story Book of Science (chapter 1, notebook)
Language Arts: The Age of Fable (pages 276-280, The Return of Ullysses; he narrated without even reading this! and he did excellent- he has a fascination with Greek Mythology), read The Princess and the Goblin (30 minutes)
Gov’t/Economics/Logic/Civics: Plutarch’s Lives (Solon)
Foreign Language: First Form Latin (review personal endings)
Penmanship: Pictures in Cursive

After he was all done, he was allowed to go to his friends house and even had a couple hours to spend before dinner.

Lee has also done well but she’s been less motivated (oops, give them an ‘easy’ day and they want one every day!)

Bible: Reading (Numbers 13), verse (Romans 6:1, 2, read, write, recite). Mere Christianity (3 pages)
Math:
History/Geography: Western Civilization (pages 284-286), How the Heather Looks (6 pages, written narration)
Science: Biology (pages 5-8, vocabulary)
Language Arts: The Roar on the Other Side (Introduction)
She’s still missing The Life of Christopher Columbus for History (Biography and Geography as well!) and Mark Commentary for Bible. Today she missed Whatever Happened to Justice? and she did no review for Foreign Language but all these will have to be done by the end of the week.

Still a good day Smile Personally, I’ve not done my Bible in 90 reading or my Ministry of Motherhood. I will do that later tonight after church. I did start again on my senior project since I need to get my incomplete taken care of ASAP. Technically I have until the 12th of September but my instructor would like to be ‘done with it’ by the end of this month. The rest of this week I will focus more intently on it. I did get my car temporarily registered Smile That in itself was an accomplishment lol!
