Weekly Wrap-Up… First Week Back to School (7/11-7/16/11)

I’ve decided to do my weekly wrap-ups on Saturday in hopes that I can figure it all out  

Our days went smoothly. Each day we did school –and mostly as planned. Monday was Paper Route for Lee and it took less time because Fox doesn’t have one any longer. He decided that the job would be too difficult to do with school. I disagree but I also want him to do well in school. If he slacks off…I might make him take the paper route again (muwhaaahaa )

It was also the first day of the Bible in 90 Days challenge. I did awesome on the first day! Now, Saturday, I’m already a day behind.

I’d say that Tuesday was the more productive day- kids did chores and school and they did it all well. The weather was great that day, too. It’s been too hot for my liking since.

Wednesday was our so-so day with almost all of school being done with good attitudes and some other stuff not getting done that really didn’t matter too much. Good enough.

Thursday I woke early with what I thought was something in my eye… pain throughout the day. Lee opened a savings account- again. Hope this time will be better than the first time (it’s with a totally different bank that isn’t unique to this town). She’s saved up over $73! She wants a DS and a game… so about $50 dollars to go? We will see She does very well with her money (must have gotten that good sense from her dad!). We watched Nanny McPhee Returns; well the kids did anyway. They’d been so good at doing what they were supposed to I thought an early movie night was a good idea. The movie was okay, not great.

Friday, Friday, Friday. School didn’t quite get all done because we are now house-sitting. We came over later than planned so Fox was able to get everything but for The Age of Fable done. I did bring with us but… it still didn’t get done. Lee missed quite a bit. Not sure why. Perhaps because it was Friday?? My eye was better in terms of pain but it was still not focusing properly so I put in my contacts, which helped a lot! Until they started to get dry. Had to switch back to my glasses.

Saturday… ah, it’s just starting. Will see how it goes. I am to meet up with a ‘friend’ (she is actually what I would consider a ‘business partner’) at 11 for some yummy coffee. She will probably (in a very nice way) tell me how bad I am doing with my business… I’m not feeling too well this morning. Sleeping in a strange place always makes me restless at night. They also have dogs. Perhaps it isn’t so much that I am house-sitting but dog-sitting They are well-behaved dogs but they are larger than our cat (who isn’t allowed to sleep with me) and they sleep on my legs… Just 13 more days!

So I have my Bible reading to do and some school work to get busy on. I also plan to head home for some great house-cleaning. Oh, I know you’re jealous
