Weekly Wrap-Up..04/15/2011

Hosted by Weird, Unsocialized Homeschoolers
Back to school...joy lol. I was sick all week excluding Monday. Guess how much school was done :)... In other news, the kids were great when I was down, in my bed trying to sleep away my illness... They would do their chores without asking, were quiet for the most part, and even made me toast and tea.

Lee wanted to be motivated to do a lot of school, get caught up to where she is scheduled to be...but without me there to ahem, coax and guide her, she didn't get quite where she hoped. She did alright though ;)
She did Bible reading all week (Luke 22-24, Leviticus 27 & Numbers 1) and she has also memorized 1 Corinthians 13: 1-8. In grammar she completed 4 lessons and a test and she read chapters 15 and 16 of History of English Literature to me while I was sick. History went well: she finished up chapter 12 in World Studies and read chapters 21 and 22 in In Freedom's Cause. She just started How the Heather Looks. And finally she did chapter 12 in Whatever Happened to Justice? and read part 1, chapter 4 of Ourselves, Book 1 (both of those were written narrations).

I'd hoped to get Latin back on track but not this week. Math either.

Fox did pretty well this week with his school. I've made a screen shot of his progress:
From last time (since last week was break week for us), he has progressed 16% in Composition, 15% in Grammar/Usage/Mechanics, 5% in Vocabulary, 8% in Literature, 8% in Earth Science, 7% in American History, 7% in Art and 3% in Music. By the end of the school year, May 27th, he has to be at 45% completed since he started in February. He says he will be at 90% ;) we'll see... He's also progressed in Spanish but I don't have that stat right in front of me. He is doing well in regards percentage/grade in each subject. He was supposed to work on Vocabulary and American History yesterday but didn't get there so he will work on those two today.

Other than the kids' school, not much else has been going on this week. I missed two days of my Spanish class but got a few assignments done for my other classes. It's amazing, though, that when you sleep all day...that time is gone forever. I feel like today is Saturday but definitely feel that I missed something somewhere. Ah well, the sleep was needed and today I don't have a headache but have a strange feeling throughout my body- like the constant uncontrollable urge to move. It kept waking me up last night and in order to not wake my dh, I tried to sleep on the couch. Definitely feel my lack of quality sleep today.

Anyway, how was your week? Check out the other Weekly Wrap-Ups @ Weird, Unsocialized Homeschoolers :)
