Weekly Wrap-Up...On a Roll

Hosted by Weird, Unsocialized Homeschoolers
It's Friday!! LOL while I was putting the picture up there Lee gasped: "Oh my gosh, it's Friday! I didn't even...like, register!" Yep, that's pretty much how I feel, too! I decided to switch it up with a 'bright' "Weekly Wrap-Up" button (usually I have the red one). I like it :)

Our week has just been rolling along. And actually quite smoothly, I must say! You can read about our Monday and our Wednesday since I posted early on those days. Just felt that I had something to post and would have surely have forgotten if I'd held it in 'til Friday.

Tuesday and Thursday were pretty humdrum (hey, nothing wrong with that!) but Monday, Wednesday and Friday are the days that get a post :)

The kids did their paper route for the first time on Monday, which led to my wondering why I agreed to not charge for gas.. oh, the fact that they only get $7 apiece could have something to do with it. Would it surprise you if said that Fox spent his already...? No, me either.

Each day this week we have done well with the kids' school. Not all subjects have been done (some how I forgot a few... perhaps if they weren't in such small font at the end of the schedules I'd see them more often/better lol what a thought...).

Today we did some Art. It's Fox's Art through k12 but we turned it into all of our Art :) We made finger masks. They are drying now and tomorrow or later next week we will paint them. It was quite fun. LOL I think that might have been the highlight of school for me!

Tonight we have Megamind lined up for movie -and this one I'm watching. I'd tried to rent it via Redbox but no, too slow- it kept being unavailable. Fortunately there is a rental place down the street that charges $3 per movie for 2 nights. .....I hope it's a stellar movie........I'm 'frugal' and prefer the $1.05 I shell out each week for 1 movie (for one night, I might add).

And here's how their school went this week:
Both:
Bible reading and verses; Who Is God?
Latin Lessons 14, 15, 16 quizzes (oops missed them as we went along)
Saints & Heroes finally have gotten to St. Augustine; we read the first half (Lee read Jerome today; Fox read about him months ago)
Lee:
Jensen's Grammar Lessons 25-27 & Test 5
World Studies pages 307 (Chapter 11) -Chapter 12 Intro
The Brendan Voyage pages 245-255
Whatever Happened to Justice? chapter 7 & 8
Life of Fred Beginning Algebra Lessons 33 & 34
History of English Literature chapter 11 & 12
Ourselves Pt 1, chapter 1 & 2
Fearfully & Wonderfully Made chapters 20-first half of 22
In Freedom's Cause chapters 17 & 18

Fox:
His teacher talked to me this afternoon and said that he needs to be at least at 14% progress in his subjects. He is at that mark in almost all of them but for just a couple. We have to work on that next week. Focus on those ones specifically until he is at the mark and go from there.
He's doing well. Since Wednesday he has completed:
4% of PreAlgebra
2% of Language Skills
5% of Literature
8% of Earth Science
History I don't know because silly me I recorded it wrong on Wednesday (his % anyway) he's completed 2 Lessons since then
3% of Art
He didn't do Music this week (shock! because he loves that one!)
3% of Spanish

  1. A great week, Blossom! I hope Megamind was worth the three bucks. ;-) I'm frugal, too!
