What We've Accomplished Today...02/28/2011

It's been a bit since I posted a WWAT but here one is.

Monday's are always 'busy' since we have co-op. Last Monday we missed it because of a flat tire and snow.
With co-op the kids' school schedule is lighter at home: Math, Bible reading/verse, and reading. Yep, light.

Lee did Lesson 27 on her own in Life of Fred Beginning Algebra (which would be chapter 3, the two final cities- which would be equivalent to a test or Bridge in the previous LoF books). We have been going through each lesson in the Home Companion together because she was totally lost doing it on her own. That was my fault because I accepted it when she would say she was doing fine in math. Her Bible reading for today was Leviticus 15 and her verse for the week is Colossians3:23-25. She also did Greek on her own (I write it on her schedule because she likes me to but even if it weren't there she would do it). At co-op she had Constitution, Choir, and Astronomy.

Fox had the same requirements: Math and Bible reading/verse. They both always read- it really isn't necessary to put it on their schedules but I do anyway. Today we covered Unit 4 Lessons 1-8 assessments for math. He only had trouble with a few and most of it flew by. It did take almost an hour and a half :( He doesn't like math and I don't want to make him hate it more but we have a lot of 'catching up' to do. He is now 24% complete on his PreAlgebra in k12 :) He didn't get his Bible reading/verse done today but his verse is a repeat from a previous week that didn't get recited at church. It's a long one (Psalms 119:1-8) but he knows it so shouldn't be too difficult :) He also had to do a writing assignment assigned by his teacher. It was called All About Me. At co-op he had Physics and Choir but felt sick the last hour and I let him sit/lie on the stairs at the church where we have co-op. He put his cheek against the cold stone wall to help himself feel better. Must have worked because he was doing much better before we headed home.

I discovered that next week (that would be 03/07-03/11) is Spring Break at the community college where I take my Spanish class. This is such a relief to me! My classes at EOU end 03/16 and I'm a wee *ahem* bit behind in one class. That will give me a chance to get it all together (haha! that never happens!) before term ends. Of course the following week is back to Spanish but EOU classes don't start again until the end of March. What a rest I will have!

I have drank (drunk?) about 1-20 fl oz bottle of water today. Big improvement over last week. Tomorrow- the machine :)
