What We've Accomplished Today...01/06/2011

Another good day. It's only the first week, though and I feel my stick-to-it-iveness may be slipping. Uh oh. Fortunately, Fridays are lighter days and we can easily pick up the subjects we missed during the week.

Both did their Bible reading and verses (Lee: Deut. 6:4-7 & Mark 14; Fox: Psalms 32:1-5 & Luke 6), History/Geography (Lee: World Studies Chapter 8 Review; Fox: This Country of Ours [Lincoln- The Battle of Gettysburg] & Of Courage Undaunted [to page 105]), Writing/Grammar (Lee: Lesson 3 of Jensen's, worked on research paper and we did chapter 7 of History of English Literature; Fox: sentences for Lesson 6 of The Write Foundation [I will check them tonight]), Science (we skipped the second part of lesson 7 because it was something that they've done/gone over before and did the first half of lesson 8 instead), and Latin (Lesson 10, worksheet 4).

Lee also did lesson 28 in The Fallacy Detective for Logic. We also did the rest of chapter 17 in Fearfully & Wonderfully Made for Health because we kept 'missing' it on Monday and Wednesday. We have it tomorrow as well.


Fox did Math (chapter 4 in LoF PreAlgebra 2 with Economics) and Military History.


This week we have neglected the subjects that I put at the end of the day- Church History, Art, Plutarch's Lives, Natural History, and a couple of music lessons. Lee also didn't get Math done today or In Freedom's Cause (that would be a history/geography supplement). Fox and I were supposed to do his poetry section of writing but will do that tomorrow instead. 

I guess that over all it hasn't been that lacking but argh, I feel a little bit of failure because I wanted our first week back to be complete. We have done quite well I think. The good things are what I need to focus more on.
