I've been thinking about an ice cream maker. We don't eat a lot of ice cream here in our house (not that we don't want to!) but I like the idea of making our own.
I found this on Amazon and wondered if anyone has tried this (or something like it) before:
Or if not that one, do you use a different, perhaps electric, ice cream maker?
I have one of those Blossom. Won it in a giveaway, it's blue and the smaller size. It works. Email me and I'll answer any questions you have!
ReplyDeleteI have only made my ice cream one time the good old fashioned way. In a can with rock salt, ice and flavoring.
ReplyDeleteI think something like that would be fun! I do love icecream and with my own very 'creamy' goats milk, I bet I could have some really nice icecream (much better and yummier than store bought!)
ReplyDeleteWe used to have one, but I gave it to a neighbor because we just didn't use it much. It was an electric crank one though. These look pretty fun.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Marcia
I'm way late chiming in here but I would say "GET AN ICE CREAM MAKER!" we love ours! Actually we currently have 3 because my husband picks them up at auctions and resale shops and then passes them out to friends who come over to enjoy homemade ice cream with us. Since we began making our own, I've become an ice cream snob. ; )
ReplyDelete@ Tristan. when I get a moment to think of some questions, I will email you. Right now I was just thinking of how cool it would be to make our own ice cream and then what-do-ya-know, it was on my amazon front page!
ReplyDelete@ No Ordinary Me. I don't know if I personally have made ice cream that way but my dd did twice when she was in public school. The best ice cream ever!
@ Linda. Yea your goats milk would make delicious ice cream...I wonder if it would even need sugar lol okay, okay..that might be stretching it!
@ Blessedmom. Sometimes you just have to declutter! I am sure who you gave it to has enjoyed it :) This one looks like a hamster ball lol! Way fun...roll it around and get ice cream at the end.
@ Heidi. I'm thinking I'm almost convinced! We rarely eat ice cream but when we have goooood ice cream we are always wanting more :)
