I don't usually get sick so I am hoping it will pass quickly or it won't even be here at all. Instead, perhaps it will just be a headache and a nuisance for the day. I could handle that.
So I am 'behind' again on my schedule. Its a bit funny to me, and annoying at the same time. My internet connection went out for a short time this morning also when I was getting on to do my computer stuff. Trying to get those out of the way early in the morning so that I don't spend so much time on here. I have scheduled 30 minutes in the morning for 'emails, blog, FB' but really, who gets that all done in 30 minutes!? Okay, okay, I'm sure there are more discipled individuals than I out there but I cannot do it in that time. I get sidetracked too easily. So many great links and resources.
I am determined, however, to make my schedule (whenever I read that while I'm typing I think "s-ch-edg-ule" and not "skedule"- gives me a smile every time...oh, it's the little things in life) stick and to follow through with what I have plotted. I waste too much of my day doing things that are unimportant. Sleep is important, don't get me wrong. I love sleep (as we have seen, eh?) but when I 'waste' my morning sleeping...well, it's wasted.
Ah, well, a good bit from my time online this morning: I will be getting The Little, Brown Handbook and Workbook thanks to Paperbackswap! I checked these two items (the specific editions I am getting) and their 'worth' -according to amazon.com- is over $100. I'm good with that. It will 'cost' me the postage to send a book to someone else. I think the postage will be less than $4. Fair, no? Heehee... I just love PBS...it would be great though if more people were of the giving type. I understand the need for money and selling books gets some return for books that were previously purchased but.. well, it would be nice to see more books on there.
Every time I hear "s-ch-edg-ule" (rather than "skedule") here in England it makes me smile, too.
ReplyDeleteTo borrow another British phrase, I'm sorry you're feeling poorly! When you get this whole sticking to a schedule business figured out let me in on your secret, will ya? :)
Thanks so much for the well wishes. I am already feeling better...still nag of a headache and slight sniffle but I think I will take some Vitamin C and be good :)
ReplyDeleteAnd as soon as I discover someone else's secret I will let you in on it ;)
Blossom,
ReplyDeleteLet me know how you like the Little, Brown, handbook. That's on my wishlist....because it's so expensive. How blessed you are to be getting it through Paperback Swap!
So sorry about the sinus pain. I do hope it isn't an infection...I know how miserable that it since I'm just now getting over one. I'll be praying for you.
As for the schedule....remember we make our plans and God directs our steps. Do what's important for His glory and you will have done well. I know it's hard to let go of what we have planned, but I think those perfectly executed days are more the exception than the rule. Be encouraged, friend. These days teach us to truly rely on His strength.
Many hugs to you!
Trisha, Thank you for the reminder. It is easy to try to do things our own way and I unfortunately am a bit stubborn :( I try to follow the direction that God gives me, but sometimes I get sidetracked. Thank you again for that.
